Please, please let the G2 have UMA!!
I sure as heck hope the G2 has UMA. I need it for my home...but maybe not. Every phone I've had for my house has had really poor reception, so I've has to get a UMA phone but my wife G1 always has at least two bars, maybe the G2 will be that good?

Most likely you have bad normal 1900mhz service but with 3G service you have more coverage with the 1700mhz band. I doubt the G2 will have UMA but should work just the same as your wife's G1.
