It's because it's only going to become availible through some sales channels first such as business sales, and some stores may have them, too. However, it will be available to the general public shortly thereafter. (Honestly, it's just another standard blackberry just with some more bells and whistles on the inside)...but hey, if you like BB's, then it's probably a pretty cool deal.

Why anyone would go with a 7290 when there's the new body style available is beyond me.

Well, BB's really do have their purpose in this world, and for those who need them for that reason then they're second to none. Personally, I think they're ugly, not very user friendly, and the applications are just a bit too propriotary (meaning you can't do much with them outside the device or server). The new style 7100t...the screen is amazing, I'll give it that much...I still hate the scroll wheel, and the sure type keyboard is harder to use than T9. I suppose if I got used to it, it wouldn't be that bad. Then again, if I have to get used to something to like it, then why get it in the first place...It's like indian food...people say it's an acquired taste (BLEH!) I don't want to acquire that taste lol. 😁
