Family Plan + Data Plan ?'s

I just want to clarify the monthly service fees, based on what I see on TMO site. If I were to get 2 G1's and the 700 FamilyTime minutes ($59.99), and select the required G1 Unlimited Web + Unlimited Messages for $34.99 per month, do both plans cover both phones? In other words, my total monthly bill would be $59.99+$34.99=$94.98 total?

If I got a G1 and a different web-capable phone, would the G1 web+message plan apply to whatever additional phone I picked?

Thanks!

While TMO's site didn't force me to add a second data plan to the 2nd G1 in my cart, I tried the same thing at Amazon and was forced to add a data plan per phone. So I'm assuming I would be required to have a data plan per phone. If so, this works out to $60+$35+$35=$130 in round numbers. This is the same price as Sprint's "Everything Data Family" for the Palm Pre, which gives 1500 minutes, GPS, Video, etc.
BUMMER! I thought Tmobile was cheaper than the other carriers, but I guess I was wrong. Am I doing something wrong here?

If I ordered a G1 and a non-G1 and bot the Unlimited family text plan that covers 5 phones, would I still be required to buy the G1 data plan? Or could I just use wifi to sync calendar/contacts at home befor...

Actually T-mobile is cheaper when you compare it to simalar phones. Take the iPhone for example. It would break down to 59.99(550 shared min)+ 30(required data) + 30= $120 without unlimited text included. that would be and additional $30 on top of that. Same goes for the BB Storm on verizon. Supposedly the G1 data is required becuase you have to register you gmail account or open a new one. so yeah you would have to add it but that might be a better option for you cus it sounds like you only need one G1.

Maybe I'm missing a $30 charge somewhere... When I go through AT&T's site, with 1 iPhone and one Nokia e71, i get this:
Nation 700: $69.99
data plan for iphone: $30.00
Messaging unlimited for families: $30.00

Then under the e71 it says:
additional line: $0.00
msging unlim for families: $0.00

Total: $129.99/month, which is the same as the monthly price of 2 G1s with data. So yes, if I got 2 iphones, it would be $30 more per month (for the second iphone data plan). But still, 2 Palm Pres would be $130/month also, with more minutes (1500) and more data features (turn-by-turn GPS, video, etc).

It's all crazy expensive. I was just hoping Tmo was cheaper, but i guess it's a glitch on their website. I could try ordering 2 G1's an...

No, only the first G1 would work.
The 2nd G1 MUST have the G1 feature. The website is supposed to automatically add the feature, but it may be glitching. The G1's wifi WILL NOT work and you WILL NOT even be able to register on the network without the G1 feature.
If you don't want to pay for a G1 feature, then don't get a G1. The G1 is not even a good phone if you take away the web anyways. There are many phones I would recommend over a G1 if you want a phone and don't a data feature.
