Is there a way I can change the display of caller ID, so when I call someones it won't display my name? and maybe say wireless number or the city and state..thanks in advance..

It can either display all your info

Name and Number

Or Nothing (blocked)

You can go into your call settings and turn the "send own number" to off to block you number.

Some phones will only block your next call and then go back to normal.... what phone do you have?

Slight correction: Yes it is possible, but customer care must do it. It is true there is a setting on your phone that will hide or block your entire caller ID, but customer care can change a setting (on your account) that will allow only your number to display, and not your name. Once changed, it generally takes between 2-24 hours to be effective.

No, unfortunately. They will not allow initials, nicknames, or anything else origional. Just your legal name. Also, unless it slips through the crack (and some do) you cannot have a different name appear on the caller ID than the billing name on the account unless it's a pooling plan or a business account.

They/we recently changed that policly, it is now subscriber based info for all acc types now, not just business and family, but now if you make them (a name) an auth user you can hypothetically set there name up on the caller ID

Caller ID: page 58, use the short cut links on the side, they're easier. 🙂
