My friend bought a phone at no commitment, the new my touch none the less. Since it is at no commitment then why did they charge her the upgrade fee if it was no commitment.

They stopped charging the upgrade fees on invoice purchases last week I think. Its been a contentious point even for employees. We've complained enough that its finally been fixed.

Depending on when she bought the phone(30 days in CA and 14 everywhere else) go back into the store and they should be able to refund the fee.
