Seeking Phonescoop User Opinions
Hey ya,
Short story; My wife is due for a upgrade and as much as I am considering taking her off T-Mobile (I really want to put her on a service with 3G in our area, T-Mobile doesn't have 3G here yet) I am not canceling out T-Mobile just yet.
I have narrowed it down to 3 phones I think she would enjoy. Here are the current details:
She has MyFaves, Unlimited Text and Data. She has a G1. She has had many phones before (lol, working for T-Mobile had its perks) including such phones as the Wing, the Dash (still a personal favorite), shadow, Behold, Sidekicks and many different non-smartphones.
I would really like to get her into one of them Nokia N series but you cant upgrade to those.

I would say either the Mytouch or Touchpro 2. The Memoir camera is nice, but that's really the only good feature on the phone. The rest is kinda bland...

It seems like you really know exactly what you're looking for. One question I have is if she is looking for a true smartphone? The Memoir has a great camera and is a great phone, however it is not a true smartphone. Its capabilities can not be expanded with 3rd party software either; what it comes with is all it will have.
I would have to say go for the myTouch or the TP2. I own the myTouch and I love it. I too am a big fan of Android and I believe its the OS of the future. However, has she used a touchscreen virtual keyboard before? For some, the lack of a physical keyboard is a dealbreaker, which may steer you to the TP2. For me it is not, I've gotten so used to the touchscreen that I can type almost as fast on it as on my G1. I use an ap...

You know what, I didn't even consider the cliq. I watched another video of it and realized thats the phone for her. It has her social networking apps with a twist, a keyboard and android. a 5mp camera. touchscreen and a battery worth a damn. my only down side is 3g atm. which is not phone related. if i keep her with tmobile, i will pre-order the cliq.
