Nokia Phones and T-Mobile

Since T-mobile test their new phone so well, I wonder if the reason they carry so few Nokia's in the US is the reception/internal antenna issue. The reason I say this is that I have a Samsung E105 (locked), Motorola V600 (locked) and have bought a Nokia 6230 (unlocked). External and internal antennas respectively. I have tested both in marginal areas. The Nokia just does not seem to hold a signal in the weak reception areas that I have tested and compared these 3 phones.

I'm not sure how the 6230 performs but the 6310i performs extremely well and bests many other phones that I've used.
