How disappointing TMO, you let me down...

During the current nor'easter, I lost TMO at the house when power went down in our neighborhood. We have a transmitter at the neighborhood pool, and apparently it went off line when my power went out. When we drove out of our neighborhood to get dinner, the TMO picked up service down the road...
But the good news is I have 2 other carriers as well, neither of which had any interruptions. One is Big Red and the other is our regional low cost carrier.
I expected more.

So you're disapointed in a outage? Welcome to cell phones. EVERY carrier has outages. Even landlines have outages.

I was really disappointed in the fact that the outage lasted until power was restored in the neighborhood. I guess I expected backup generators or something.

It happens. Get over it.
I dealt with my service being out for 6 hours the other week.

Um, what's your issue. I did deal with it. I was just expecting better.
Have a day.

There are people on this board, most of whom rely on T-Mobile for their living who will defend even the worst screw ups by their company. Don't take it personally, it's how their bills are paid.
BTW, a power outage should not be reason to lose cell service. Even Metro PCS towers have backup.

Apparently, this one needs new Energizers or something...

T-Mo probably doesn't have your particular site setup with a backup. That's a problem that should be addressed, not defended.
...
It probably does have backup power. All towers should have a backup generator, for all cell phone companies. That has been a federal mandate since Katrina. It probably wasn't the power that caused the outage. The tower itself probably suffered some kind of damage during the storm.
