Best phone for T-Mobile To Go (CF62T)
Are there any new phones coming out for T-Mobile To Go soon?
Which one would be the best in terms of reliability and price?
I don't know what "kit's" are out there at national retailers like walmart, target etc...I've seen a few...most corporate stores if I'm not mistaken can sell you a phone and activation code seperately. (Please jump in if I'm mistaken here) It's a little more to do it that way, but it gives you more of a choice when selecting phone models.
Where have you looked so far?
I have though of just buying a phone and activation but dont you have to pay the full retail price on the phone?
I know this sounds a little off in left field, but what about looking around for an unlocked phone, or heck even on ebay..you can usually find some good deals. Then go and get an activation code from a corporate store. The only downside to doing it this way is there would be no warranty we could validate.
The CF62T really hasn't been all that bad, and through sofrware upgrades it's been doing better. I just personally think it's kind of boring lol.
Is it that you want a flip phone?
Mobile Cell said:No offense, but I found the cf62t to be a very cheap piece of plastic. Lightweight, creaky buttons, etc... It turned me off.
I want to get a T-Mobile To Go phone. I wanted to get the Siemens CF62T but alot of people have been giving bad reviews about it. Any CF62T users have anything good to say about it?

I just need one for like an emergency.
I want it to last and not break, plus i heard it turns off by itself which is not very appealing to me.
I will just use it as a phone, nothing else. I prefer flip phones since it has the external caller id.
Only one display-caller ID can be seen, the phones have a keypad locking feature (so that buttons don't get pressed if in your pocket etc...) which is different from a pin lock.
You mentioned the 3595, what is the other one available? 6010? If so, and you're open to the suggestion, look into the 6010. The 3595 has lived it's life, it's still sufficient, but outdated and obsolete. The 6010 is roughly the same thing, just with more enhanced and updated features and software.
The Nokia 6800 and Motorola V300 are 200, 150 with rebates but i dont trust rebates.
I might think of using my ATT GoPhone (LG G4015) with T-Mobile. Its GSM but the frequency might be different.
What are you really looking for? Perhaps you might even want to look into getting a basic service for $19.99/mo on a plan. You get access to more network usage (roam...

When i buy the phone, does it come with the latest software or is their a way to get it?
Does the new software fix the bugs? (As previously asked, does the phone come with the latest software? If not, how would i get it, download?)
Also, if i signed up for T-Mobile To Go, and over time, i switch to a contract or different carrier. Would i be able to port a prepaid phone number?
I'm not sure if the new software is able to be downloaded because part of the fix was removing the embedded games.
Yes, pre-paid numbers can be ported.
i got a new version so its suppose to have the latest software i guess.
only thing i might say i don't like is how i already used up 16 minutes (4 dollars) and all i can remember is actually getting and making around 6 calls.
Plus they only tell you how many minutes you have left but not when it expires so i have to keep track of all the dates.
