If you did not sign a contract you don't have to do anything. The phone you have already purchased or are paying monthly installments. If so once you cancel the final bill will have all the rest of the charge for the phone on it. ETF's only apply to contracts.

You only have 14 days to return the phone. The intallment plan is like an interest free credit card. After the 14 days you still need to pay for it.

It is similar to buying a TV from Best Buy on a credit card and you only have a 30 day return poicy with them. Cant return the TV after that and still have to pay for it.

It is no different.

Sell the G1 on EBay.
