Today, I just saw an an ad from J&R Music World in New York City, that they're carrying the RAZR (Black Model) for T-Mobile for $699.99 without activation. $549 with 1 year agreement. 🙂 Amazing!

My store carries the silver one (unlocked) for $420 - that's retail though. With new acitvation on 1yr contract you can get it for $270 or so - $550 seems a little steep to me (I guess it is the new black one though).

I still don't get it?? 🙄 Why pay so much for this phone just because its thin!! If you pay that much for a phone, it should have the same amount of features if not more than the some of the other newer phones out there, and it damn sure better be covered under whatever your phone insurance companny is! LOL That's just my opinion though.

Some people like glitz. Razr and Nokia 8800 appeal to that market segment. If you want a technically superior phone you won't pick a Razr or Nokia 8800. It's that simple.

I understand that some people like "glitz" but, the major point is...you can't get insurance on it! lol

Maybe you can't get insurance on it through Lockline but you most certainly get insurance. I have an endorsement rider on my renter's policy (you can do it on a homeowner's policy as well) and for $5 per *year* I have replacement coverage on my phone and several other things and I don't pay *any* deductable either. My insurance is just that... insurance. It's not a program to upgrade your phone when you get tired with it. A caution though that if you make more than one claim on it your insurance company may decide to cancel you!

Sounds good to me 😁 But, unless other people have the same thing you do, I wouldn't recommend taking the risk. But your plan is awesome. Too bad about the possible cancellation after one claim, but hey, if you can't keep a phone in good condition or in your possession, even after making an insurance claim, you shouldn't have a phone or anything of value! lol
