Does anyone know what's wrong with my phone? I just purchased an unlocked D500 and am receiving calls and sms. When I went to make outgoing call and sms, it says not allowed and error. I called T-Mobile and they said everything was normal. Does this mean my phone is not unlocked? If so, why am I anle to receive???

if you put your sim card in it and power it on.....then if it boots up to the main screen without saying "WRONG CARD" then it's unlocked. Try making sure the phone's band isn't set to 800mhz.(NETWORK SETTINGS) That is what that phone will be preset at and you will not be able to make a phone call or sms with it on that band. Switch it to the 1900/900mhz band ,since that is what we usein the USA, and you should be good to go.

You might not have the right settings (message center number, etc.) There is a link someone had that would download them to your phone.

If this doesn't work, call customer care.
