International roaming? Check ahead!

I am presently outside the US and have had international roaming provisioned for *years.* I specifically contacted T-Mobile CC reps prior to my leaving the states to make sure my international roaming was provisioned OK. I was told repeatedly that yes things were just fine. Well, I got off the plane in Amsterdam and I couldn't register on any of the five networks! My prepaid Vodafone account registered fine. I suspected something was awry so first tried to call T-Mobile's international roaming number +1 505 998 3792 first trying to call collect. They didn't go for that 🙂 So, my only other alternative was to use my prepaid Voda account to call the international roaming department. Spent 10 minutes waiting on hold and finally the guy s...

Unfortunately, it sounds like a problem with communication between systems. CC can check one system and see if it's set up...tech can check a different system, and if it's not set up there, it won't work. CC's system is supposed to tell Tech's system what to set up, but it doesn't always work that way, and tech has to do it manually. 😕 Isn't technology wonderful?
