Upgrade Question

In previous posts it has been stated that when upgrading to a new phone after the 11th month of your contract the plan you are on coincides with the price break you get on the phone. My wife and I are on the $39.99 plans, but are #'s are on the same bill. Combined with our features we added, are bill together averages around $120 per month. Would we get a good upgrade price for a new phone, or would we be limited since our actual "plan" per # is $39.99? Thanks in advance for any insight! 😁

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you should be eligible for the full discount after 11 months on both lines.

You are absolutely correct. In order to be eligible for a discount you must first be on a plan of 39.99 or higher (family plan of 69.99 or higher) for 11 consecutive months and not have had an upgrade during the last 11 months. You can receive a partial discount at any time after 30 days with contract renewal (this is usually 20 dollars over "activation" price w/no rebates). On phone models that have mail in rebates you will be required to renew your contract for 12 months in order to receive the rebate. On phone models that do not have rebates no contract renewal is required. Enjoy!

On a side note, I would personally recommend upgrading to the Nokia 3220 if you want a camera phone, or the Motorola V188 or Samsung X475 if you do not.
