Okay . . . I just had something really weird happen. I had a customer come in with a Sidekick II who wanted to know when the Sidekick III would be coming out. I told him that I wasn't aware of a Sidekick III being released any time soon - then he proceeded to show me PICTURES of it!

The device was unbranded and he said that he got them from a friend. It was very thin, flipped out sideways, and had a full qwerty keyboard inside. It looked a little like I would think the so-called Razrberry would look. Has anyone else seen anything like this?

Thank you for this post. I know understand why people act like I am an idiot if I tell them that there are no reports of a sidekick III.

Well, technically speaking you're correct, since "Sidekick" is a proprietary name TMo uses for the Hiptop, and if we haven't okayed it for our network or announced plans to pick it up it doesn't matter what Danger is producing at the moment, because whatever it is it isn't a Sidekick, per se...

Also, what causes some confusion is the b/w and color sidekick origional versions.....some people refer to the b/w as 1, color as 2, and SKII as 3....confusing I know lol but it's actually a pretty common misconception, but that last device mentioned on this post is a really good observation, I'd seen it once or twice before and can see where someone might mistake that for some type of sidekick

Thanks for the replies everyone! It was not an MDA (my family all live back in Holland and they've had them there for a while now, and I know what they look like). It was much thinner than an MDA.
