I don't know definitively if the 45.99 plan is incompatible with the unlimited SMS 9.99 feature, however a way you can check it is to have a smart rep make the rate plan change effective on your next bill cycle close date, and notice if the change puts a future cancel date on the SMS feature. If it does, then tell them you've changed your mind and don't want the rate plan change. Then, if they c...

I believe that this person is referencing the Buddy Time feature that incl unlim sms and m2m. That feature would DEFINITELY fall off and would not be able to be put back on.

I'm betting it will be okay, the unlimited SMS was a recent feature and the 45.99 doesn't look like much of a feature killer. Usually we only go after the ones that are REALLY good, like BuddyTime. I'd love to have that one, but all the new rate plans wipe it out... 😛

Don't I know it. I lost my Buddy Time for the 45.99 plan.

I never really abused the Buddy Time option, so I don't mind saving $10 a month by switching.

Buddytime WAS a feature we used to have that was $10/mo and included unlimited text messaging and mobile-mobile calling between tmobile phones.

More than likely it will stick. Here's what you can do, though: Before changing your plan, ask if you will lose the $9.99 sms feature. If they say no, but it deletes itself anyway, just switch back to your old plan and have them re-add it. I've done that before...but even though the feature is grandfathered, it's not expired...all a rep has to do is copy the billing code from the list of features and paste it into the features list on the account and it can still be added. Are we supposed to do that? no...can we? yes. (Thats the way we fix whoopsies)
