yeah I saw that but isn't that with a new activation? I use t-mo prepaid
yeah that is w/ new activation, the website shows the MSRP, that is what you would pay without activation

Not necessarily true. If you log into My TMobile, the no contract price is actually higher.
which is what was mentioned already, you didnt read, i said it was 99.99 he said "isnt that with new activation" i said yes, i told him to refer to the site for the MSRP for what he is going to do

But on tmobile.com it shows Suggested retail, which is not what they sell the phone for with no contract... just trying to help...
explain

Ok, on the home page of the web site it says Motorola A630 is 299.99 Suggested retail, then gives the discount for new activation. When logged onto Mytmobile, it gives the no contract price as 349.00, then they discount it 60.00 for upgrading.
to me that dictates false advertising, if you list somethings MSRP and do not list any other price (outside of the activation price) then that is what i am paying

MSRP is Manufacturer's SUGGESTED Retail Price. It does not imply that this IS the price which is being charged, it's just informational. Interestingly enough, we list the MSRP of the Nokia 3220 as 119.99, but if you go to Nokia.com they list t...

They certainly should.
But since when do big businesses do what would make sense?
If Nokia says you should sell it for 99.99, and they write down SUGGESTED retail price 99.99, then a customer says "Wow! What a great buy!" He goes to the store, or calls, and then sees the ACTUAL retail price as 149.99... he might say "well I'm already here/I really want that phone/50$ isn't THAT much more." etc... and buy the phone anyway. Or since he's at the store/on the phone, maybe we can convince him to buy another phone, convince him to go to a contract, new plan, new features, sell, sell, SELL!
You get the idea.
It's just a trick to try and make a sale.
