If you are using a Motorola Phone (V300, V180, V188, V600, C650, A630, V330, RAZR, etc) here is a great trick.

Visit www.walmart.com they have a CD section where you can listen to songs from the CD's they sell (30 Second clips). Find a song you want, right click the "Listen Here" link and copy the shortcut.

From the Myt-mobile.com website, send the copied shortcut as a text message to your phone. When you receive it, push the menu button, choose "Go To" and the phone will download the ringtone to your phone!

They sound great, are short and sound just like the Hi-fi Ringtones!

I had the A630 and could Bluetooth MP3's from my home computer, but I had to lower the quality and I still was stuck with the whole song. So I tried entering the whole url by hand from the website, to see if it would play it, and to my surprise it downloaded the whole song! So then I just started copying and pasting them in texts. It works great and on all the new moto phones.

Also if you have a Nokia phone, and IR port on your laptop, you can download (free) Nokia PC suite and then use it to transfer anything -- including .midi and .mp3 files to your phone.
And there oodles of free ring tones out there.

Nokia rules!
