Sidekick II & Data Connect Problems
Ok so I've had my SK II for about 5 months now, I ordered it by phone. Initially they didn't ship it and it was "stuck" at the warehouse. I called on the arrival date, and was told it didn't ship. Then I ended up getting two by mistake. Called and was told to send the 2nd one back. That turned out to be the one they had set up on my new account. After about 3 days of calls etc, we got it up and running. And for a whild it was the coolest thing since sliced bread. Then there were the "hacking" issues, that lasted a couple of months. That was followed by Danger's server(s) being down for a week, and now i've come to my last straw. But let me first say overall the idea of the Sidekick II and all of it's predecessors was great. First off, that sucks! I'm SO sorry to hear you've been going through that!!
I'm a sidekickII user, and I've had mine since december, so I'm almost right there with you, and I also work for T-Mobile. I must say it's been the best device I've ever had, a nokia 6610 being a close 2nd...
I take great care of my phone, but one unfortunate day I did drop it and scratched the living hell out of it. Luckily, I had a screen protector on, so the thing still functions just fine for me.
However, I experiences a similar thing to what you're saying, and here's what I ended up figuring out on my own...but then again I never called in lol...You can run a self diagnostic on the device by starting from your jump screen, then click on menu > setting...
