I wonder if anyone knows if T-Mobile is working on the software glitch on the V330 that deletes all shortcuts when the phone is powered off. The phone defaults back to the original setting everytime. Evidently it is a know issue with this phone. Anyone have an updated information?

I tried to make one do this - I set up my shortcuts and then powered it on and off a number of times - but mine didn't delete them. It seems then that not all v330s are doing this. Unfortunately, I have no idea if a patch is available to fix yours. ☚ī¸

I have sent my V330 back. Is there anyway to tell before I order it over the phone whether I will get a V330 which does not do this? Customer care said the "issues" language on this phone suggested that the own created shortcuts are deleted on every V330.

That's interesting - when I talked with T-mobile customer support they said that it was a known issue with all phones and that they probably would not issue a fix for something "so minor." If I had powered off the phone in the first 14 days I'd seriously consider returning it (I had some nice voice shortcuts for things like turning bluetooth on and off which I lost).

Just to confirm, we are talking about the shortcuts that you assign by holding down the menu button somewhere in the menu system and not Settings -> Personalize -> Home Keys which change the default action when you push the arrow keys on the home screen.

My phone has the problem and it flex is GSPV330TMB01NA0C6 and the S/W version is R472_G_08.18.1CR as reported by Se...

I don't know since I returned the phone. I can confirm that the tech people say it is a problem with the software on the phone (since it says you can assign shortcuts in the manual). You are right, they also said that Tmobile was not going to fix it.
