We can all hear you fine. Is your CAPS lock stuck?

T-Mobile does *not* use 850. They may have some 850 roaming agreements, but they will*never* have 850. The only 850 carriers are the original cellular operators in each market. Unless T-Mobile buys cingular or Verizon (extremely unlikely) T-Mobile will never have native 850 coverage.

Basically, T-Mobile does not have the spectrum to have its own 850mhz, or otherwise called "native" coverage. Simply because we are looking into expanding coverage through roaming agreements in the 850 band does not mean if we do not have coverage somewhere, it will not eventually become available with 1900mhz.

We actually reach about 94% of the U.S. population right now, and I can't remember how many markets we have, but it's up there. (I know, I know...cingular and vzw have more...point is redundantly made).

T-Mobile is excellent service if you pretty much stay on the paths. Cities, highways etc...it's only when you start venturing off into boondock land where you'll run into problems. 850mhz is going to help us fill in the gaps. N...

You know, it bugs me when folks are lead to believe that CDMA offers superheroic coverage out in the boondocks. My experiences with Sprint and Verizon over the last three years have shown me that A) The boondocks really don't have great coverage, period (even with CDMA), and B) Analog absolutely sucks. Every time I've had to roam with analog, voice quality sucks, features don't work, and signal flucuates wildly. Like you said, Tmobile covers 94% of the US population...highways, freeways, interstates, and major...
