I remember a while back there was a Unlimited Text Messaging Promo for $9.99/mo. Does anyone know if T-Mobile is expecting to bring the promo back in the Northeast in the NYC area? Thanks! 🙂

I've heard they wont be bringing it back, mainly because t-mobile wasn't making any money on it. Which bites - I really want it too and missed out when it was available ☚ī¸

It's hard to imagine that tmobile makes no money off this promo considering that a sms requires about 1/100th of the capacity of a one minute voice call. This promo seems to be cyclical, if it does come back it will likely be in early fall, similar to "04", but thats just conjecture.

Yeah, but think of all those people who use thousands of SMS per month, and everything over the first thousand is only billed three bucks. I've seen people using 5000-12000 SMS per month, and that definitely adds up!

ya i know what your saying. the unlimited will not be back for a while. my normal messaging ammount is about 7000. so to save my money on overage i just added the Color Sidekick Service add on which gives you unlimited sms. it is 20 bucks but i normally have overage of like 200 bucks without it. so its a work around.

Good solution, way to think outside the box! Wish more customers had that much sense... 😉

I actually recommend that customers do that if they want unlimited texting. I explain to them that it's not what that plan was intended for (and that it includes features like web-browsing and e-mailing that they won't be using), but that it WILL get them unlimited texting for a flat-rate.
