Oh, and by the way we are NOT a reseller, we DO have our own network on which we spend BILLIONS (that's with a "B" for "Big Money" for the learning impaired) and we just bought a big chunk of coverage that we shared with Cingular, which ALSO still has roaming agreements with US to use OUR network. 🙄

And we have smart cookies running this company who are figuring out neat new ways of making the competition squirm... 😉

...to add to the cingular and roaming thing, our newly added 850 mhz coverage is provided through Dobson wireless, not cingular, and we have over 30 smaller local, and regional carriers supporting 850mhz lined up for future agreements with us, not cingular. Cingular made some people mad when they bought out ATnT, pulling most of our ATnT roaming agreements out from beneath our feet with no warning. There are definately still parts of the country where cingular has roaming agreements with us, and from what I understand, we aren't planning on any more deals with them because of the bridges they've burned with us.

not by choice.

when i call into cingular i expect the same customer service as tmobile provides and let me tell you i am ALWAYS let down.

all around tmobile is by far the best wireless company hands down.

But I thought Wal-Mart was evil and there was nothing these smaller business' could do to stop their takeover of the world.

Wal-Mart IS evil, and ONLY the little people can stop them--by taking their business elsewhere and accepting that sometimes it's worth paying the extra buck not to have to deal with the devil. On the other hand, sometimes there are smaller companies who manage to figure out a way to provide better service at a better cost than the big megaliths and those companies do just fine.

You should visit Lubbock. Many areas still have those old business'. And the areas to which the city has grown existing companies have expanded and new ones have opened as well.

And (to offer my first opinion on Wal-Mart) I think the competition issues against any large company are greatly exaggerated. If you are intelligent and offer good service you can do well in anything. Honeymoon period aside, you just have to be a smart business person.

The funny thing is I agree with Jon about businesses competing with Walmart (my store undercuts THEIR prices - we take business from them! - and still make a nice profit while we're at it).

But I've also experienced the whole zoning thing. A few years ago, Wal-Mart bought some property in the neighborhood that I live in that was zoned for residential and then tried to get it rezoned for commercial use. Everyone in the area banded together and we shut them out - so they are not an unstoppable force.

The real horror comes when you don't close your eyes fast enough and the image is semipermanently burned onto your retinas--just TRY to get the image off there, I dare ya! *shudder* 😳 Prussic acid might do the trick, and I've been tempted a time or two... 😲

Personally, I use a lot of weekend minutes, the right plan depends on the person. Also, so what if I get Cingular M2M, most of the people I know don't have Cingular ayway. You can brag about rollover too, but I use more than 450 minutes per month, and would never get any rollover minutes.

Im going to "have to beat a dead horse" by saying that its true every person has diff needs when it comes to vell phone providers that is right for them. Now saying that...what the hell is up with dissin wallmart for so many damn messages I mean were talking bout roaming with cingular. I understand using Walmart as an example but ya'll starting ranting about walmart is the devil an there evil business practices.
