Today I was in a school and had no service what so ever so i went into my network settings and click on avail. networks and cingular came up and not T-Mobile i pressed registar for cingular cause i didnt have service and it didnt work does anyone know y?ThaNkS 😕
If it's an area where we SHOULD have service, then we won't have a roaming agreement there. It's possible that there may have been a tower outage.

T-mobile sucks, come over to cingular. Does t-mobile has rollover, NOOOOOO.
Allright everybody go about your business. Do not feed the troll.
Regardless if you have a roaming agreement or not...someone has to pay for it. Having a 39.99 plan with a 1000 mins, with nights and weekends is great, but wheres the MTM?
Cingular DOES have a 39.99 1000 plan, w/mtm just no weekends. thing is......the calls I take, more often than not, customers dont use many weekend mins. Tmobile knows this....all companies do.....but they know also see the words unlimited... and automatically think its a better plan for them.

Im betting Tmobile will have to merge, sell or fold within 2 years. Tmobiles base coverage sucks...therefore have to pay out the ass for roaming on Cingulars network.

But I thought Wal-Mart was evil and there was nothing these smaller business' could do to stop their takeover of the world.
Wal-Mart IS evil, and ONLY the little people can stop them--by taking their business elsewhere and accepting that sometimes it's worth paying the extra buck not to have to deal with the devil. Of course, since the average American is as stupid as a fried popsicle, Wal-Mart will continue to flourish as the green bay tree. On the other hand, sometimes there are smaller companies who manage to figure out a way to provide better service at a better cost than the big megaliths and those companies do just fine.
And I wouldn't have service with Cingular for the same re...

And as far as Wal-Mart, how can people have it both ways? Business' can or can't compete. Which is it?

Well, I hope you are basing your opinion of Cingular on more than just online forums. I know a great many Cingular employees who are very happy with their positions.
And as far as Wal-Mart, how can people have it both ways? Business' can or can't compete. Which is it?
It's not that black and white--it's like flying. You can do it, but not as easily or natively as a bird. Some birds do it really well, some can't do it at all, but they're all birds. Competition is possible against Wal-Mart, it's just that it's so much more difficult than competing against a smaller company with less financial clout and aggressive marketing tactics that for the vast majority of small companies it's no...

And (to offer my first opinion on Wal-Mart) I think the competition issues against any large company are greatly exaggerated. If you are intelligent and offer good service you can do well in anything. Honeymoon period aside, you just have to be a smart business person.
Having the personal drive, determination and intelligence can overcome buying power very easily. I have done it for 13 years by helping a small company become a large one and now starting my own small company. Unlike many who offer their opinions but have little or no real experience othe...

The funny thing is I agree with Jon about businesses competing with Walmart (my store undercuts THEIR prices - we take business from them! - and still make a nice profit while we're at it).
But I've also experienced the whole zoning thing. A few years ago, Wal-Mart bought some property in the neighborhood that I live in that was zoned for residential and then tried to get it rezoned for commercial use. Everyone in the area banded together and we shut them out - so they are not an unstoppable force.
They are aggressive, though I wouldn't call them evil. As someone who came from a small town (and whose family owned a business in a different medium-sized town), I think I can say th...

It's gotten to the point that you can drop someone into the middle of almost any city and they won't be able to tell where the heck they are--it all looks the same!
It depends where you go. I prefer the WalMarts to be zoned out of the general city area...some swath of land that's out of eyesight. It occurs here and there.

What's the matter, you have something against cottage cheese thighs covered in maximally tensioned Spandex, trucker caps, mullets, acne and missing teeth? What are you, some kind of elitist or something? 😛
Unfortunately, I am. And I like to think of it as "unstable molecules", not spandex. I just get a kick out of thinking fat people wear the same material the Fantastic Four does. Teehee.

Yeah, but it looks MUCH better on Jessica Alba by a long shot! It frightens me sometimes the kind of blind faith people put in the strength of Spandex--jobs that would usually require titanium sheathing to accomplish are trusted to a fairly flimsy fabric, and...
