As long as it's unlocked, it should work. T-zones and MMS may be tricky, but if you call CC, they should be able to get the settings to work, even if they have to contact tech to get it done manually.

How come it won't work since its a T-Mobile branded phone, and he will be using a T-Mobile SIM card? I thought as long as the T-Mobile branding is in the phone it would work.

That's what I was thinking, but my friend visited Germany last December and bought a T-Mobile phone there cuz he broke his went back to UK was working fine over there, but now were here in the USA the phone can be use but limited features.

BTW, over there in UK T-mobile got great phones. Here, T-mobile USA phone selection sucks, whats really is the difference between network? I don't think there is a difference. Maybe they think we can't afford the phones.

If my V635 work without a problem, friends I know here in California now will go the trouble of asking my cousin in London UK to buy them T-mobile phones over there and ship it over here. 😁

It's because they are (in a sense) two different companies: T-Mobile International, and T-Mobile USA. Both are owned by Deutsche Telekom, but their phones use different frequencies (US = 1900mhz, Europe = 1800mhz), though all of them will generally support both.

Not all of the features will work because the MMS and WAP setting are different for T-Mobile USA and T-Mobile International (but you can manually reprogram them). And, as someone already pointed out, T-Mobile UK's phone lineup is much better than ou...

I know they get the more advanced phones b4 we do.
I think that sucks, that a phone from the same company has to be unlocked.
