We now have EDGE at my store (unofficially).
I was showing a customer how to tether a phone to a computer for GPRS internet access using a Moto V330, and I noticed that the connection speed was REALLY good (115-120 kbps). 😁

does the phone shows "E" when using EDGE?
but one thing I found, T-Mobile runs class 4 or 6 EDGE (only 3 dl slots)
because another user got 90k with laptop + 6620 (2:1 EDGE), while I only get 128k max with pda + 6230

Seems as though you either got lucky with your GPRS connection or latched on to Cingulars' EDGE. Per T-Mobiles published info their plan for EDGE or UMTS build-out is not planed till 2007 for the US.

Edge will be coming soon, UTMS is not until 2007, and california and select areas already have EDGE

Are these select markets by default due to tower/market swap T-Mobile aquired from Cingular?

California is, but someone posted a few weeks ago that they had EDGE in parts of Washington and should be rolled out soon

That was me! We now have EDGE at my store in Eastern Washington, and it's off of T-Mobile's towers, not Cingular's. I don't think that it has been announced officially yet - but it is up and running just fine.

Edge is running in Phoenix too.
My RRM got a hold of an EDGE enable aircard to use on a trial. But when I asked Employee Phones if I could have the service activated for my 7710....I was told to keep an eye on Streamline for when the service would launch! So if anyone knows how I might be able to tweak my settings to have EDGE...I'd be very grateful!
