Rumors are that parent company of T-Mobile USA (Deutsche Telekom) is not very happy with the financial performance of its american franchise and will be selling it in a couple of years. Any ideas?
Total hogwash. With the European cellular market stagnant, Deutsche is relying on Tmobile USA more than ever...and the US branch is responding with continuing success.

It's just that an unfounded rumor. T-Mobile USA is performing better than any other division of T-Mobile. Don't you think it would be a little silly to sell the one unit that's performing well?

My main Question is about T-Mobiles prices? They have to have one of the lowest arpu's in the industry due to their continuing push of teh 39.99 plans and the 49.99 family plan. I do not how how they will remain profitable only promoting the low arpu plans. Also I hear they have a lot of debt and that is why they might get sold. I am not in the know but those are idea's I have heard? What does anyone think of those?

that is goona change soon I think in the future cingular and Verizon's lowest plans will be between 50-60 dollars. They will include both data services and voice service packages.
If it does they can count on a whole lot less customers. Believe it or not it's not common for people to spend 50 or 60 dollars a month on cell phone service. People will do without or get prepaid service.

Also, look at T-Mo's growth over the past few years. If I were to run a company I think I'd rather be adding more customers at a lower arpu than adding fewer customers with a higher arpu. If you are adding customers and continue to do so well, they spread the word, you add mo...
