I switched from T-mo to VW about two months ago and wish I had made the move before. I was with t-mo about two 1/2 years and just got tired of the customer service and lack of coverage in certain areas when I traveled. I have been really happy with Verizon and I would recommend the LG VX6100. It's a nice phone and has great reception. Hope that helps.

verizon has a crappy phone selection though. I was thinking of going there too cause im leaving cingular. They only have one ok phone, the samsung a670, the others to use jamesm's quote "are like texas toast", they are huge compared to most phones. If they get some nicer phones, maybe.

I had Verizon for service and still have my LG VX7000 just in case I switch back. I love the phone, but wish it had bluetooth. The VX7000 and VX8000 are the top rated phones for Verizon as reviewed by Consumer Reports and I tend to trust their expertise on a lot of products. They also rate Verizon as the best carrier in a lot of cities, but T-Mobile was tied with them where I live in their latest set of ratings.

As far as phone size, yeah the LG phones are larger than the T-Mobile phones I have seen, but they feel and look much sturdier. I have been with T-Mobile since February and have already had to replace a defective phone (the Samsung e315). So far, the cheap, light-weight feel of T-Mobile phones, smaller coverage area and lack ...

The e315 is a horrible model phone. I have the e317 at Cingular, same phone just different carrier and the sound is low and voice quality is distorted and muffled. Those models are horrible, cingular just discontinued them. I am thinking of switching back to T-Mobile of Verizon but am watching for new phones.

Yeah, I went for the e315 since it was only $25 at the time and I am just trying out T-Mobile right now. Verizon has a better network as far as technology if you want streaming video or internet features to work faster. I am going to save money to get a better phone by early next year and I want to ideally have something that I can use to send and receive email and easily access my...

I am a T-Mobile customer, but was with Verizon for 5 years before switching. I had to leave Verizon because a cell site in my immediate area went down and they could not guarantee its return or tell me when they could restore service to me. Basically, they told me to switch carriers because I was getting dropped calls and a very weak signal all the time when I used to have an excellent signal.

Based on my experience with T-Mobile s...

Yeah, I would never go with Cingular. I've heard too many horror stories and I think SBC is evil (the parent company of Cingular). I had a landline through them and I had a lot of problems with service and especially billing.

its just like, the service isnt very good at my house, i can barely hear people when talking. My bill is always higher than what it was at T-Mobile even though I get a discount because of the text message charges. Its just horrible in my area, im sure its better in others. I just dont know where to go, verizon or t-mobile and what phones I like.

One word. T-mobile = cheaper rate plans, better customer service, and the ability to switch GSM phones whenever you feel like switching phones as along as they are unlocked, and have the 1900MHz band. Verizon = higher rate plan, better coverage, and more advanced data features, and CDMA service. You can not switch phones like you can with GSM.
