I work in a cingular call center for a company called Convergys.
We were told that convergys will now handle t-mobile billing in some centers as well. I included a partial highlight from convergys.com I called T-mobile because convergys told us we now get a corporate discount. I called a t-mobile care rep and she said she could not give me a discount and told me to got to www.t-mobile.com/corpdiscount, It seems like there should be a group with a number at T-mobile that handlses corp accounts or gov accounts but she said that t-mobile has no number for that. If you know anything about this please reply. I would really appreciate it! thanks

Unfortunately, the website is the best way....you should also have a contact number through HR (we have special websites and contact numbers for our discounts....GM, Dell, HP, 1.800.flowers, etc)
Sorry. The discounts are usually good. 🙂

Oh, thanks. I was afraid the rep was positive that convergys wasn't a valid business to recieve a discount and was going to send me on a wild goose chase with the website. I don't mind taking the time to fill it out if it is a legitimate thing. Thanks for your reply I am feeling a little more confident that maybe I wil get the discount. I work at an elementary school so I might try getting a gov discount if I cant get a corporate discount. I sound so disscount greedy!

Usually employee accounts for outsourcers are handled through the company benefits department--they might not have it all set up yet, check with your HR department...

My wife is a public school teacher in Utah. What kind of government perks might we be eligible for? Plan discounts? Handset? I would contact the HR department, but we're out of state at the moment and I'm not even sure how that would work since she's on summer break.
Thanks in advance.

k i have a couple possible solutions for ya.
Over the phone 1-800-Tmobile cant offer any corprate discounts. TO many companys offering different things.
Possible the b2b side would be able to look at it. 1-866-464-8662.
Other than that i would say your hr department has that information.

with many corp discounts they waive activation fees, but it wouldnt qualify you for any free phones or they may take a % of your bill. Several things.

i get a corporate discount at Cingular, Verizon, and Sprint and I just went to the store. I didnt have to do anything with my HR department. How come T-Mobile doesnt offer anything like that. Id go back in a heartbeat if they would match the price I pay now.

It really depends. I work for IAC (owners of Expedia.com, Hotels.com, Ticketmaster, etc) and we have a corporate discount with Cingular and T-mobile. I was able to get my Motorola V330 for free. They waived the activation fee, delivered it for free (2 day delivery), and I have 6% discount on my monthly bill. I mean you can't beat that. I see the V330 for at least $150+. However, I now want the Razr which thru the coportate discount is $159, not bad considering the Tmobile shows it as $199. I'll just wait a little while to they make it for free. 🙂

i get 18% off every month at Cingular, wish T-Mobile offered that to me.
