More towers going up?
Does anyone know if there are more towers going in for T-Mobile? I am especially interested in the Indiana region, since I have family there, and I don't always have the best signal. I did hear that Bloomington Indiana will be having three more towers placed there.
thanks :-)

T-Mobile is working on a roaming agreement with Centennial wireless. This is a regional carrier that covers the Michiana area to central Indiana. This carrier claims to saturate most of Indiana. Now it is still under consideration but I believe this will happen before the end of the year. Cingular wirless already has a roaming agreement with this carrier. The only problen is that you would have to have a phone that supports the 850 band to use this network. Now that T-Mobile has started accepting that the 850 band has become a US standard we can see more agreements like this in the future. 🙂

I have the Moto V300 and I believe it has several bands, including the 850 band. It is a world phone as well.

The V300 does NOT have the 850MHz band. It is a Tri-band(900/1800/1900MHz freq.) band phone. Only the V330 has all 4 bands on it, making it a Quad-Band international phone.

No I was wrong. My phone only supports the GSM 900 / GSM 1800 / GSM 1900 bands

In most cases a phone will support the 850 band if it was launched within 2005. A couple exceptions would be the HP6315 and the 7100t. Most phones that support the 850 band are considered quad band. World phone just means the phone supports atleast one band used overseas. The V300 is tri band and supports both 900 and 1800. If you like the V300 you could step up to the V330 which is a refined version with a couple extra toys including Bluetooth and the 850 band.

Thanks for the info! I love my V300, and I am not picky about new toys. I can't afford to get a new phone anyways. Plus I paid 120 dollars for my V300 and I have been taking excellent care of it, so I plan to keep it for a long time yet.
