Would this be T-Mobile USA they are referring to? If so, does anyone know when it might be available?

I would have expected more responses to this nice little rumor. But I guess with the let down of the V635 hype, nobody wants to get their hopes up. So let's just ask one question. If the V6 were to be released by Motorola, how long after release would it take to get through T-Mobile's testing. Even if this phone were released in say September or October, wouldn't it be safe to say that we would be looking at almost January or February before we could see it for T-Mobile? And of course, since it is a nicer looking phone with some modern capability I will expect to hear the phone experts here to say this will be a Cingular exclusive and T-Mobile will have to wait. Any opinions? This could be more fun with hyping this phone than owning i...

I've only seen photos, never held it, but it's a beaut' alright. T-Mobile's thing is that they have cheap phones, not the latest phones... and if Cingular does have an exclusive, I imagine it will be longer than February before T-Mob gets it. 😢

Cingular will not be getting this phone. Cingular will be getting the SLVR V8. They can't get both. So, I think while Cingular gets the SLVR, T-Mobile will get the PEBL. Also, it might be the same problem with the Motorola V270, and V280.

The moto rep visited our call center last week and we're supposed to be releasing the V360 sometime later this summer, and he did mention the PEBL V6...said that we have no contract yet with them to release it, but it is being talked about, and if accepted they're shooting for october-ish.

That would be cool. Just so no one thinks I said it, I never said Cingular exclusive, but you know someone will say it, if it ends up on this site. Octoberish would be cool. I am still waiting to decide about a new phone. I still have my T722i, which of course isn't a very good phone, but it works better than some descriptions I have seen of it.

Yep, it's old which tells you how old my contract is. Especially since it was my upgrade from my older phone. And yet, I am willing to wait for a new phone since I am not real sure about the V3 and I really don't care for the V330. Both are nice phones, but I was hoping for the V635, which is now not coming. So, I am willing to wait till Octoberish to see what will happen.

I'm right there with you. Until June of this year, I was still using the Samsung Q105 - which I got when it first came out for T-mobile. I'd probably still be using it, but T-mo stopped supporting it for text messages. The E315 couldn't get reception for crap, so now I run on the Nokia 6010 - both of which I got on eBay because I wasn't going to waste an upgrade for either of those phones.

Maybe one of these days, T-mobile will release a phone that'll catch my attention and make me want to extend my contract. 😕

And before anyone suggests an unlocked phone - I already got burned on one so I refuse to do that again. 👿
