I have always wanted to know this. What is the approximate radius that a T-Mobile tower will cover? Is it one mile? Or is it like a couple hundred yards, or a different distance? I have always wanted to know this but no one has ever told me.

It depends on alot of factors, mostly the height and type of antennas used. In the middle of a city a T Mobile tower is usually only about 40 ft high and covers about a mile in each direction. In more rural areas or suburbs one tower can cover 2 to 15 miles of terrain in each direction and towers along highways can cover about 30 miles in each direction with the bidirectional antennas like along the I-10 corridor here in arizona.

An Alltel Tech has told me about 11 miles depending on said factors but I do not know if I take that at face value but I do know of people being 7 miles from towers and getting minimal service but still able to make a call.
