Sidekick 3?
Working in Care sometimes we don't get all the newest info right away, but has anyone heard anything about a new Sidekick? I have been getting a few calls about it and I have nothing to tell the customers about it. There is nothing on the Danger pages to lead me to believe there might be a new one comming out soon.
Anyone hear any rumors?

I'm inclined to think there might be one in the works only because the telesales site hasn't been listing the 2 for the last few days and generally when we start having times when a given phone is not being listed it means it's going by-by. That's just me guessing though. 😉

Wouldn't count on it being smaller, but more features, like the EDGE and BT would be great, I'd also like to see a better camera (at least 1 MP.) and Terry, you're right, Java! If they aren't going to put in a memory slot I'd at least like to see a larger memory on the handset and possibly the ability to download attachments such as word documents to make it more usable for a buisness user (because ATM it is more of a toy for college - kids (like myself) than a really effective communication tool they way it has the potential to be.)

I've seen pictures of the sidekick 3 and all the ones that i've seen look different. All I heard is that it is coming out in January! I know this from a very good source.

As of now, all I have heard is just a mini SK and a special edition SK coming out soon. Also a releace of a new software to support java, and can save sim card contacts.

This sucks i was just about to buy the SideKick 2, but if the 3rd one is going to come out in the 1st half of 06 then i might as well wait!!! Does anybody have solid info on this?

I don't know if you should wait. Its up to you. Some people say its coming, while others say its not. So, I don't know who to believe.

The only info I have heard about any new Sidekicks is going to be about the fact that the devices will have Java Scripting (FREAKING FINALLY). One of the Senior Reps in my call center was testing it out but I don't know if it was going to be special addition or SK3. If I hear anything else I will let you know.

I don't know for sure at this point. I know that there is some supposed to be some big OTA (over the air) update to be done on the sidekicks but the info has been sketchy to customer care.

I HEARED HTC IS TAKING THE DUTIES OF THE SIDEKICK OVER. I SAW A PIC OF IT ITS TOUCHSCREEN, A TAD SMALLER, I THINK IT SAID BLUETOOTH, NOT SURE ON MP3, BUT 1.3 MEGAPIX CAM. STILL WILL FLIP LIKE A SIDEKICK.
