Different SIM card for SIDEKICK?

I'm going from a SK II to a regular Nokia phone, and was just curious if I can use the SIM card that was in my SK for my new phone. I know usually you can, but I didn't know if there was a difference between the SIM cards for SK's, and other SIM cards since the SK is sort of a PDA type device. Thanks!

No, there is no difference in SIM cards. If you do not plan on using your sidekick 2 anymore, just call T-Mobile and have them remove the Sidekick data feature. Its the data feature that allows the Sidekick phones to use the internet. They use a different GPRS connection from the one on any regular phone. Once they do that, you just put your SIM into the Nokia if its a T-Mobile phone, or make sure its unlocked if its not, and you are set.

Just note, that all your phone numbers are not stored on you SIM from the sidekick. So you will have to re-enter all your phone numbers from your SK to the new phone. The reason for this is that all you info from the SK is stored on the Danger servers. Once you enter the numbers into your new phone, the number will be saved to your SIM.

lol...thanks...I was wondering about this when I put the SIM card into my new phone yesterday. I spent a good half hour trying to figure out how to import the numbers, but then noticed it said there were only 2 numbers stored on it, so I ended up just re-entering all of them. Hate doing that, but oh well. Thanks for the explanation though...now I at least know it wasn't just me!
