Moto v360 (and other T-mobile) news

NOTE: I posted this in the v360 forum, but there were some interesting tidbits in it that I thought a few of you might like to read. Enjoy.

After talking to someone at t-mobile on the phone and getting nowhere, I went into one of their stores ready to just settle for something they have in-stock right now since my Nokia 3650 is old and falling apart.

It was killing me because the Samsung slider and the Nokia flip don't friggin' have Bluetooth which I have grown used to. Anyway, out of desparation, I just started talking to the rep there about the lack of Bluetooth in the t-mobile lineup and how old the v330 is and he actually said they have a replacement coming. He has actually seen it and said it would be exclusive to t-mobile.

T-mobile needs to stop discontinuing good phones like the Sharp FM150, Samsung E 315, Moto V300, etc. until they ACTUALLY get a new phone in their stores!

Sharp TM150 you mean. The Moto V300 was garbage. V330 is better I heard, since it has less issues than the V300.

I think that the main reason for discontinuing phones, such as those, is because they are trying to have their phone line up all carrying the 850 frequency.

The Samsung E315 was the biggest piece $hit I ever used as a phone. I am now using my 3 year old Samsung V205. The reception on it SUCKS!

Sorry I should have been more clear. I meant to say that the E315's reception sucks...
That is why I am using my old V205.

I think they requested that the V360 have bluetooth since Moto annouced that all of their phones that are coming up will not have EDGE since something went wrong with them. So, maybe T-Mobile is working out the EDGE kinks in the V360 before it comes out. I don't like Motorola. They have way too many issues with their OS, and features.

I agree with the anti-moto sentiments. I had the illustrious C332 which when it did work was a great starter handset (I went through 6 or 7 in 9 months) And the v300 is garbage, my sis bought 3 of em for our office and we have one left still operable.
😡
I personally lost faith a long time ago in Tmobile supplying solid handsets that do more without falling apart in 6months

I have had my V300 for over a year and it still is fine. The V600 was okay too (we only had to send it in once) and haven't seen many issues in the store with it. 🙂

I feel alone here but I really like some of my past Moto phones. They have the best radios of any phones I've used but sometimes do "feel" cheap they've held up for me. In comparison the LG VX7000 that felt solid looked like it went to hell and back after a few months. I'm also in the BT camp and will not buy another phone without it but I also feel the same way about a QWERTY keyboard. And I would really like EDGE so the Moto phones don't look like a good option for me to replace my loved A630.

I pressed him for any info I could get on the phone and he said that t-mobile had requested a few small changes for the phone

1) How old is your Nokia 3650? I am curious to know just how old a phone is when it begins to fall apart. If they generally "fall apart" too soon, then I will just buy a phone with VGA camera rather than a pricey phone with 1+ megapixels.

2) What changes did T-Mobile request on the Nokia V360? I ask because that phone is on my short list.

I made a mistake up there. It should read: Motorola V360, not Nokia.

Let me clear that up about the Nokia. I think it is close to three years old (not certain). It has been "abused". I am pretty rough on it - it has hit the ground several times when my holster came off my belt or something like that. Anyway, no it didn't just disintegrate - I really like Nokia phones and if tmo had a bluetooth Nokia right now, I would probably get that.

I don't know what changes tmo requested. The guy I talked to made it sound like they were minor things, but he didn't go into specifics.
