7105t exchange?

Last December my son got a 7100t blackberry only for email and instant messaging, no voice plan. IM has NEVER worked and tMobile support gave up trying to fix it months ago as they finally admitted that this was a known problem. I now see where they have released the 7105t. Does this new version fix the IM situation? If so, will they be doing unit swaps?

I actualy work in T-mobile's Wireless Data Group (WDG) or other wise known as Level 1. I have yet to hear if T-mobile was going to offer an exchange program for the Black Berry 7100t to the 7105t. I have heard of the IM issue and I wouldn't completely rule it out as a possiblity.

Thanks very much for the reply and info. One more question if I may. Prior to the big Blackberry change (elimination of web client) of 10/2 external pop mail was retrieved every 10 or 15 minutes. I assumed that with the new change over that POP mail would come sooner, but it doesn't, still same delay. Any ideas?

I heard allot of customers that were having trouble with delay in POP3 Email to the Black Berry devices. According to our systems the while the Black Berry systems were being upgraded this 'was' as known issue 🙄 . Last time I looked everything should be working fine now. If your still having sluggish Email to the Black Berry from POP3 accounts, I would advise to call T-Mobile (I'm kinda worthless when I'm not in front of my work CPU). When you get to the Voice response system just say "BLACK BERRY" to get to the PDA group without having to be transfered to many times....Hope that helps.
