Hey , I can help you with that.

I went from a single line to a family plan, and it is EASY!!! No credit checks required. All they do is activate a second line of service and ask you which family plan you want and they extend your contract by one year and you get to choose a new phone for your second line. Your second line carries the same terms and conditions as your current line: 1 yr contract, plus an ETF of 200 dollars if you cancel it before your contract expires. They will get it all done quickly. Just pick out a plan and a new phone for your new line and you are good to go, it is that easy!

I actualy have a good answer to that question. I am at work right now (and I work for cingular) so they might not be realy happy with me if I were to call customer care now ;)and I am bored so i just thought I would see what you all had to share.

If you want to upgrade your handset you won't get as good of a discount as you would with the new line of activation. You might still be eligable for some kind of discount. Are you registered on My Tmobile? (www.t-mobile.com/mytmobile) It is free, AND you can check to see what kinds of discounts you can get with upgrading.
