It is a smart business move, lets just hope prospective customers know that there is a new phone available. I would want to advertise the new RAZR in Wednesdays paper, to get people to come in! (but I am sure that's already been considered) 😁

The phone won't be officially available for customers until 11/25, that includes upgrades also.

You are still contradicting what your saying. If first shipment was received 11/21 (a Monday), that would make it the release day (when you can get/order the phones). It doesn't necessarily mean that you are going to start selling them before 11/25. A smart business move, considering Black Friday. But, if you have the phones, you don't necessarily "have" to wait until then do you?

Unless you work in the retail side, please understand that just because the stores recieve them or any phone for that matter before the OFFICIAL LAUNCH date of 11/25 does not mean are we authorized to sell them before that date! The official launch date/sale date/whatever you want to call it is 11/25. Please understand that and stop confusing those who read this.

Same thing occured with the Sony Ericcson GC89 card, we got them in the wednesday before the launch date but we were not authorized to sell them to the public until the launch date, as set by corporate.

Once again, when I say "RELEASE" date, or "LAUNCH" date, I am talking about when you can oder them for your store.

I still haven't seen any collateral or product and service guides for this. Unless our DR is behind on getting us this information, we still don't even have this phone on our order form.

Do phones get launched at different times in different parts of the country? I am just trying to understand why you have the phones in your store today, but we still haven't seen 1 thing on this phone from corporate. I think this phone will be great and am excited to get it, do you know of any links on T-Mobile where I can learn more about it?

I am corporate retail sales. If you have access to our intranet, it states the Magenta RAZR.

We are NOT allowed to sell them until 11/25, as it is the official launch date. Plus, we don't have to order any phone. It's sent automatically by our inventory analyst, as it every other CORPORATE retail store.

249.99 price tag, no bending from that since they are limited editions.

We will have the matching Magenta Motorola Bluetooth headsets also.

Not to fuel a fire, but the LAUNCH date for the GC89 was on 11/7, which was a Monday. I guess at this point, the only thing we can do in our area is wait to see.

Launch date meaning, the date that you can officially sell the PC Card or anything for that matter.

As I said concerning the GC89 PC Card, we got our shipment the Wednesday before 11/7 but we were not allowed to sell them to anyone until 11/7.

I am in corporate, we have a wonderful marketing and advertising team that handles that.

We will sell out of them on the same date, 11/25 the official launch date to sell the Magenta RAZR.

Just got the product/ services guide on the Magenta RAZR...First time I have ever seen them availible for sale other than a Monday, but awsome! As indirects, however, we won't be able to even order them for about another 2 weeks! (Odd how that is 🙄 )

But anyway, you were right! 🙂

Yeah i think the indirect dealer i work for won't be able to order them for 2-3 weeks and then it's a few days before we get them in too.. Which sucks because that'll put it really close to xmas and not anywhere near the original launch date when all the hype will be! But oh well no matter, i'm sure i'll still sell a crap load of them.
