Question for this forum. (regarding tmobile's growth)

thoughts if tmobile usa buys alltel? (DT of course)

other ideas? (with tmobile)

I think its a great idea, T-mobile still needs to grow so much, i think if they do buy alltel, would be a great step foward in improving there coverage and quatlity!

Are you kidding me? Alltel is not for sale nor will it be. I highly doubt a company would buy more spectrum in an opposite technology than they own in their own especially since Alltel is already rolling out 3g EVDO and T-Mobile has nothing. The only way I see it happening is if T-mobile goes CDMA and I do not see that happening.

It's a step, but let's be real here. T-Mobile will *always* be the odd one out. With the number of mobile customers available it's unrealistic to think that they're going to be any real competition for VeriZon, xingular or SpriNT with xingular at 50k, Verizon at 47k +. SpriNexTel at 30k +. T-Mobile's 20k and less complete network even with roaming agreements. T-Mobile will likely always be catching up and an also ran. First off Alltel just purchased Western Wireless and Midwest Wireless because they are trying to become the #5 national carrier behind T-Mobile.
T-Mobile is most likely to buy out Dobson, Centennial or Suncom Wireless (or all 3 from the articles I have read).
