EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES??

I was just wondering if anyone can give me some honest feedback on how difficult it is to get a job as a T Mobile sales rep. Can you also give me an approximate starting salary. I have between 1-2 years experience if that helps.

I am interested in possibly working for T Mobile. I have heard good things about the way they treat employees, such as pay, benefits, and hours. Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks. 🙂

t-mobile is great, you have to apply to every location that you can get to in a good manner of time. It all depends on how you do on the 90 minute test, its not that hard but long. Its not hard to get a job just stay committed and go to tmobile.com/jobs everyday and apply to new jobs, thats how i did it. I'm 20 ans i've been working at the direct t-mobile store for about 5 months ( Chicago Market) now and i am very happy. Tha pay is great, they treat you well, the oppertunities are endless for you to move up. Good Luck and let me know how it goes, keep me updated.

Apply at every location? I never though of doing it that way, but that's a great idea. I am in the Chicago market too, and I am really looking to get in at a fast paced store. I am a very agressive seller and a hard worker. I want to work somewhere that makes money! (of course lol)

So how long was the hiring process for you? And I don't want to ask you directly how much you get paid, but if you have maybe a salary range that you could throw out, I would appreciate it. If not, that cool too.

Also, when you start with T Mobile, how long is it before they put you on the selling floor? Thanks for the feedback.

it took me six months to get the job, but its well worth it, i am 20 years old and i am estimated at 42-45 thousand for this year. You get paid $11 when you start and the comission checks are huge. Also they put you on the sales floor right away and you have training every couple of days. Your first month at tmobile you dont have a quota so you get paid really well for whatever you sell, and to tell you the truth chicago is a really good market so every store has its top earners you just have to try your best and work hard (be comitted). But if you really want to make a lot of money the top store in chicago by far is at the HIP. Like i said apply everywhere rolling meadows, evanston, etc, because once your in its really easy to transfer to a...

wow, that sounds great. I figured the HIP would be one of the busy spots. Well, I am updating my resume now and will be sending it out asap. I will apply everywhere I can and see where it takes me. So if you can say, what kind of benefits does T Mobile offer? For example, vacation days, insurance, etc, And by the way, thank you so much for this info. You have been a great help to me. 🙂

You get personal, sick and vacation days which your getting paid for. T-Mobile offers insurance which is really good for 80% of coverage they only take like $7 of your check, for full coverage they take like $20. They even offer pet insurance for $31. They also offer 401K which is really good, i dont know how to explain it but after sometime t-mobile matches what you have. So you have double. Also to let you know HIP makes a lot of money but there's a lot of competition, there's a lot of reps there.

T-Mobile 401K is setup to match up to 3% of your pay dollor for dollor and the next 2% $0.50 to the dollor. That's why I keep mine at a steady 5%. I want the free money...

I've worked for the company going on 4 years and I have tried to get a Sales position in the past. I currently work at one of the T-Mobile call centers so it's harder to get a position at a retail store due to 800 other employees to compete with.
