Aim usage questions, maybe another question too..

Just wondering if you have to use the internet to be on AIM on the V330? Not sure how exactly AIM works on a phone like this. My old Samsung on pre-pay doesn't use the internet and does its thing still.

There was something else I was gonna ask but I have no idea what it was. 😁 I'll repost later if I remember.
Thanks in advance. 🙂

Yea, the other question. Moto has a warranty on the phone right? So is there a need to get the additional warranty that Tmobile offers?

T-Mobile gives you a 1-year warranty, already. Only you contact Motorola if you have an issue with the phone, that T-Mobile can't fix. Also, if you contact T-Mobile about an issue with your phone during the 1-year warranty, they will ask you to send your phone to them, and in return they will either send you a refurbished phone, or a brand new phone, all depending on their stock, and if the phone is still available when you need it fixed.

So, I'm already getting a warranty and I just take it to T-Mo if I need it fixed anyways...then why do they offer equipment protection? And what's the difference between the 3.99 one and the 5.99 one? Thanks again.

Depending on the phone, the insurance can vary from $3.99 to $5.99. Some people say that buying insurance from Asurion is a rip off, cause if u lose the phone you have to pay a deductible. Then you might not get the same phone that you had.

**T-Mobile Employee**
The phone comes with a 1-yr warranty and T-Mobile offers Equipment protection for $5.99/Month with a deductible. ou may want to math the feature out to see if it's worth it to you. The warranty cover any defects or software problems with the phone. The Equipment protection covers lost, stolen or physicaly damaged equipment.

Well, I'm not worried about losing it, having it stolen or damaging it somehow. One more question though: If I wanted to get a new faceplate for it, does that void the warranty at T-mo? I heard on here when I was searching, that Cingular voids the warranty if the faceplate comes off at all, so just wondering for safety's sake.
Thanks again e...

If you change the face plate on the V330 the warranty is voided. I'm not really sure how we know but I guess we can. Now if you have a phone with optional face plates naturaly it wouldn't void the warranty.

Depends. I'm in college right now and will be joining one of the military branches after I graduate. As to which one, or which part of SpecOps I want to go and try out for, I'm not sure yet. It's been my main tagline for a couple years now.
And thank you for the help. 😎

AIM works using text messages. If you have a plan, it is deducted from it. Otherwise, it is 5 cents to sign on, sign off, refresh your buddy list and send/receive messages.
