I JUST GOT OFFERED A JOB AT TMOBILE

I got a call from a store manager of a retail store here and he offered me a full time position as a retail sales employee. I asked him how much my hourly would be and he told me everybody starts out at 9.65 an hour plus commission. is this guy full of it or what? i make way more than that at cingular but granted ive been there 3 years. i would of thought my experience would be taken into consideration. could somebody let me know if thats correct? thanx

That's about what they offered me. Do you make more than that as the same pay scale @ cingular? B/c you would need to take that into consideration too.

i know that cingular offers more hourly depending on experience. the manager told me everybody gets started at the same rate. that, to me, makes me think that my experience doesnt matter and they want experienced people but dont want to pay them the same as a newbie to the industry. I am definately not felling that, id rather be kept bent over by cingular. at least its someone i know. btw, how are the commissions over there? back when my store was att wireless everybody in my store was making about 1700.00 comp checks average before taxes. is it comparable?? thanx

1700.00 comp checks before taxes? Take the job at T-Mob, man. I'd be satisfied with 1700 after the 42% tax on my check. And I'm not even full-time, I'm a rsa and a full-time student. It really depends on how aggresive you are. I could do about 120% and have 1700 after taxes.
