According to T-Mobile's website T-Mobile will start charging 10 cents for each text message sent and recieved. Customers who have subscribed to a text messaging package will not be effected by the increase unless they go over thier bucket of monthly alloted messages.

SMS messages will remain at 15 cents sent/recieved according to t-mobile.com

Actually that is already being charged. Every activation that we have done since the first of the year has that change reflected on the contract.

Yes. Actually I saw the notice of the change when I accessed mytmobile.com account. I am predicting that T-Mobile will also be getting rid of thier plans that cost less than 39.99 a month down the road and that they will go to 2 year agreements. I just extended my contract 2 years by upgrading to the Nokia 3220 for ABSOLUTLEY FREE, no costs at all, not even shipping!!!! :-) Worth the extending the contract.

It's still kind of funny to me to see people that are really shocked by these changes. I for one am surprised that T-Mobile hasn't raised their pricing sooner. I mean, they still are the best priced in the industry even with the changes. I also think that with them doing these changes that we are going to see some better products and services from them because they will be able to afford them. YAY 3G here we come!!!

Um, NO!!! I don't want to leave T-Mobile. I love my plan, which NO OTHER carrier offers. Plus I just upgraded to the cool Nokia 3220 phone, for FREE. I don't do much text messaging anyways. I posted this on the forum to spread the word because people who do text message need to know of the changes being made.
