Plans for 2006?

teeshchicago

What are T-Mobile's plans for the new year? Will they be changing their wireless plans, etc? I know they are raising the price of thier text messaging for those who don't have a package.

Will T-Mobile eventually phase out thier low cost plans?

(Basic plan: 19.99/mo. and Basic Plus 29.99/mo.)

New phones?

Thanks,

Teesh.

I don't think there will be any major changes in plans. There were a lot of family plan upgrades last year. I heard a rumor about a 4500min FT plan.
We will still keep our low cost plans...

New phones...Rumor has it...
Moto Q Smartphone, A wifi enabled Moto phone (can't remember name), possibly a Navy Blue RAZR (heard from a Moto Sales rep for central US), HTC Wizard (forgive me if I have the wrong name).

You mean the Motorola A910. Yes, the name of the WM5 PDA phone is the HTC Wizard. There is supposed to be another one called the SDA Tornado. What about the Sidekick 3?

you might have...I was merely commenting that I haven't heard any new rumors...I keep hearing stuff about the fact that the SK3 is supposed to be Javaenabled and have BT and all sorts of crap but I haven't seen anything firm.

Do you know when the SK3 will be out? I have seriously wanted to go buy the SK2. I just do not want to buy the SK2 and a month later the SK3 appears.

It won't be out for a while yet and you won't want to get it when it first comes out because it will be full of software bugs. If you get a SK2 now you will get an upgrade discount in 11 months and then you can get the SK3.

I am GLAD and I mean GLAAAAAD to know that T-Mobile will keep thier low cost plans. Verizon and Cingular made a big mistake in ditching thier lower cost plans.

If T-mobile had a decent PDA phone I would bail vzn and take the 175.00.

IMHO Sprint service is really, really bad and once under contract, the only way to get out is to buy out as they require 2 year contracts. I was told yesterday, everytime you activate a phone, it counts againt the 2 year upgrade credit. Also, if you change numbers for ANY reason, they lock you in for another year.

If T-Mobile had as much coverage as Verizon, T-Mobile would kill Sprint.
