Can I use the Nokia 6682 with Tmobile?? It is sold through Cingular, but uses GSM 850 / GSM 1800 / GSM 1900. πŸ˜•

Also, coming from Verizon and thinking that they had a bad selection of phones, I noticed how bad Tmobile's is compared to Cingular. 😒 I have been going back and forth about switching to Cingular but then started hearing really good things about Tmobile. Does anyone know if any new mid to high end phones are going to become available with Tmobile in the near future? I am a huge Nokia fan and would love to go back to them. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Thanks guys....Scott

I believe you can, just pay for the T-Mobile SIM Card and pop it in.

Don’t choose a carrier for their phones, select by reception, call quality, rates, and I can brag about this one all the way to the bank , our number one customer care, then if you love to use any phone that is not offered on our gsm network, choose the phone u like and make sure at least it has the 850/1900 frequency built in, buy it pop the sim and use at as you wish, but may I remind you there is no warranty on none T-mobile phone from us, but who said that we warranty the phone, we are second party, you can always ask NOKIA or who ever to do the warranty exchange, unless you use a phone that was made for Europe and Asia, you might have to ship it out to the nearest repair center and it might take a while longer.

I agree with ZHIAN. Shop around first for the best service for your area (home, work, school) first such as reception, call plans first. Bottom line, you don't go to buy a car because the colour suits you, why would you buy a cell phone and plan because the phone 'looks neat'? Reveiw the entire package before settling in. That's is once of the consumer's biggest problem is the look at the phones then complain about reception and contract terms.

Secondly if you are going to use the Nokia you have, Cingular needs to unlock it for you before you just pop in the SIM card and use it. All of the US carriers have SIM locks on their phones for the GSM networks.

It has nothing to do with looks or the "coolness" factor of a phone. It has to do with Nokia just being a great phone... reliable, great RF, and durable. All of Tmobiles phone for pricey for the quality or just cheap because it is a cheap phone. If I spend $200 on a phone, I want pretty good RF and a phone that is going to last. Simple as that.

I've heard some great things and some bad things about Cingular and Tmobile, just as any carrier. For where I need to go, they both seem like they would work... That is why they are in my top two, over Sprint and Verizon. If Tmobile had better phones (features, better RF, and durable) then it would be a done deal.
