Updated Motorola has begun working with carriers to replace defective GSM RAZRs received by carriers in the month February. There was an issue with a component in some of handsets shipped last month which can cause them to randomly drop calls and reboot. Carriers that received the affected phones have been notified. Phone Scoop has received reports that many Cingular and T-Mobile stores have pulled their stock and suspended sales of all RAZRs. Alan Buddendeck, Motorola's Global Director of Public Relations, today said that Motorola has fixed the problem and wi...

I agree with you, nextel18. The only Motorola phone that I found to be decent in my experience is the V300. It is an older model, but I have had a wonderful experience with that phone. I bought a used one recently from ebay as a secondary phone to my Nokia 3220.

I will never get the razr. The menu style is identical to my V300. So it is not worth the upgrading.

with nextel, well had or tested all of them and i can say that more then 50% of the phones are bad. in addition, they have treated nextel like crap with late additions on the network and horrible phones.

the 730, and 830 are horrible phones that come very quickly to my mind and the nascar phoens which run off of those platforms..

----

the razr is a phone that is very attractive, but flimsy, and that attracts consumers to buy them to "show off" to others. lets wait and see what the motorola "q" would perform becuase maybe that would be better. i have always noticed that cheap phones are always bad, but the more expensive the phones get the better they are.

this is for you lefteyeiu2006, I can't believe you have a WORKING V300. If I were you, I would stop using this immediately. It has to be one of only 5 or 6 that still work. I would imagine that will be worth thousands of dollars in a few more years. It certainly is not worth upgrading to the RAZR, as there are about 5 or 6 of those that work as well. P.S. it is only march, so a phone purchased in December would hopefully still work. I had a razr for about 5 months with no problems except the usual irritatingly slow MOTO interface, and the weird call logs that were always wrong. Then one day, BAM! nothing, even after warranty after warranty, I could never get a good one again.

Yes I do, believe it or not!!! I know that the V300s had problems too, but some handsets never had problems. Mine is fine and dandy. But do keep in mind that I also have my Nokia 3220, which I am keeping as a backup. Just in case...
