They will they have no choice I'm sure they will come away from the auction with ample spectrum
...
let's hope so- or else they are doomed! becuase they cant cater to voice, especially with the decline and have no high speed data.
very interesting things that happened at the CTIA, but the things that interested me the most were; 1. the situation with qualcomm, mediaflo and REV A. 2. the Ericsson test with HSPA. 3. MVNOs 4. Sprint's presentation..
overall it was good though.
...
Yea I really hope T-Mobile wins the bid on new spectrum... I think that's all T-Mobile needs to be able to compete with the other BIG 3...T-Mobile's focus on "Get More" has worked very well for them and an enhanced network would only improve things and position them very well in this highly-competetive market...
...
you do realize that if they win some spectrum to deploy 3g data, they still are well behind becuase they have to clear spectrum then they will have to make the gear and then pay for the massive upgrade from what they have now to UMTS/HSDPA. once, they get this in gear, which i think might be in the 2007-2008 timeframe, they will be more successful becuase that whole "get more thing" as you just said and their marketing campaign and demographics allow them to do quite well. Will they do well? not sure and i dont think so against the big 3.
...
What do you think the chances of T-Mobile buying out another carrier are???
...
he thinks zero because he thinks tmobile will be bought by cingular within 3 months and they are the worst cellular company ever 🙄
...
i think it is a strong possiblity, but they must first buy 3g spectrum then they can think of buying another company (or other companies).
they need to grow rapidly and common sense just tells that they should rather just buy an existing network then doing it by themselves becuase it will cost them a lot.. it would cost them a lot either way, but it would be better to buy one who already is there then starting it themselves..
...
What do you think of Alltel as a contender???
...
i think that would be a wonderful suit.
...
what about US Cellular?
...
The PEBL has been out for a while though... 😕
...
yea since jan31st- oh well, but the good thing is they are trying their best to release new phones to cater to their demographic.
nice avatar. 🙂
...
actually the PEBL was availabe online @ t-mobile.com way before JAN 31... I know this because I had bought one back in DEC 05 ... I ended up returning it though and going back to the RAZR... the screen was too small and the keypad was plastic... I thought it was metal... also the camera sucked... I went back to the RAZR
...
nice.. but nationwide was january 31st.
...
Yea I know... I think it wasn't available in stores until JAN 31 but online yes...

T-Mobile wins plenty of spectrum and by 07 has better content then verizon hands down easy. What do think Nextel lets pretend they have 3g do you think they will pound verizon into the ground? thoughts

content only 🙂
...
based on content? not exactly sure, becuase i know verizon has lots of content in its portfolio and i am not sure if tmobile can provide that content.
the problem is; i think they could do well against verizon (if they have 3g rolled out), but they must 1.get content and 2. increase their footprint..
after that, with hsdpa/hsupa/mimo i think they will do very well.
