T-Mobile Testing "5" in Portland and SanFran Markets!
They plan on launching it nationwide in September.
I don't know any for sure specifics, but I heard it from my Regional Manager!
Say you are on the 600 minutes with nights and weekends for $39.99/month, add $10 for the "5"
However, it is a seperate rate plan...so it WILL renew your service agreement.

All I want to know is what T-Mobile is going to do in terms of the Sidekick 3.
Well Terry, why don't you start a thread on that topic?! Sheesh! As far as I can see the "5" promotion doesn't have anything to do with the Sidekick 3 now does it?

Don't get stupid. And for a guy, what type of name is Fuzzybear? 🤣
What kind of a name is Terry Johnson. What a dweeb name that is. I gather you have problems staying on topic don't you? It's too bad that this board isn't as flexible as hofo where you can block obnoxious users, eh? 🙂 (smiley thrown in just for your benefit TJ.)

I am going to be the bigger MAN, and end this little childish argument.
Terry,
Fuzzybear is right. This thread is for the '5' plan not sidekick 3. Start a new thread on that topic and I am sure you'll have plenty of people to talk to. 🤣
It's not.
It has nothing to do with the T-Mobile@home service.
In the future it may be tied with it....but that's not what this is.

😳
Looks like Alltel just hired a new ad firm for the commercial. Pretty clever marketing.
I wouldn't say that it's short. I think Alltel is on a great idea, but the difference with what T-Mobile is doing is that not only are they going to launch the 5 number program, but it's going to come with the launch of their UMA service. If the UMA is priced right and set up the way I'm hearing it's going to make WiFi usage basically unlimited minutes, which throws those extra 5 numbers in pretty much without worry.
I guess T-Mobile did a lot of research on the idea of 5 numbers...this is approximate but something like 65% of T-Mobiles customers call mainly 5 numbers or less.
It sounds like it could be a hassle in regard to how often the customer can change their 5 and whatnot...oh well, role with the times, eh?
