PhoneMan3

Hello everyone. I am switching to T-Mobile and I wanted to know which phone gets the best reception. I like the PEBL but I want something that works well. Thanks in advance. 😁

I've found that Samsung phones have given me the best reception.. Nokia is also good reception-wise... Motorola tends to have the worst reception from the customers I have talked to and the people I know w/ Moto phones. What are you looking for aside from good reception (features, etc)?

I'm looking for good reception, Bluetooth (can't stand wires), relatively small. Something along these lines, just not a RAZR. Everyone has a razr. Thanks again.

How about the Samung T509?

I just got this phone yesterday, and I absolutely love it. It takes fantastic pictures, has bluetooth, is very small/thin, and gets great reception in my area (I live in Portland, Oregon).

On May 14 we're also debuting the Samsung T609, which is a flip, has bluetooth, 1.3 megapixel camera and MP3 player--no price on it yet but it looks sweet and it's also quad-band...

I'm partial to Nokia phones, personally. As far as Samsung goes, I'd avoid the lower-end phones on the Samsung line. The t509 and t809 are fairly popular right now, and are good phones. Avoid the X495.

In my opinion, Nokia tends to be more reliable than other companies.

Unless there are huge changes to the company, I will personally never own another Motorola phone. I get more calls with problems with Motorola phones than any other manufacturer.

Maybe because it (Motorola) is most popular than other brands so there will be a higher number of users and in turn a higher number of complaints. Only natural.....

My experience has been a little different. In my market Samsungs get the worst reception and Nokias get the best.

Unless you got a score better than 37% on the nerd test, you're not cooler than I... 😉

I'll agree with the nokia comments, however generally samsungs are close to nokia in most tmo markets...

My regional manager did a test of phones.
He made 10 calls inside a house or building in a 'good' coverage area.
These phones made 10 out of 10 calls.
Motorola Pebl
Motorola Razr
Motorola V360
Nokia 6101
Nokia 6010

Dude, Ive had the PEBL and I didnt like it at all. Camera sucked, voice quality sucked (at least for me), and the keypad looks very cheap on the T-Mobile version; it's plastic.

Just my 2 cents 😁

Just adding my 2 cents.....I have the Pebl and it's a great phone..excellent reception, clarity and battery life, good camera, and it's got a good solid feel to it, not cheap plastic. If you don't believe me, read the user reviews for it on phone scoop, rated 4.32 out of 5....better than most of the phones that were previously mentioned. Absolutely love it!!!

I agree with the other reviewer. The Pebl is not the best phone for your money. I know 3 people with this handset and they all have a separate issue. The hinge gets loose. One friend had all of his credit cards demagnetized due the magnet in the closure. Software is buggy (usual Moto stuff) 😛

Try a Samsung. Right T-Mo line-up isn't too impressive. The Samsung T-509 is an excellent phone for cheap. No MP3 player. Big deal-it has every other feature you could want. Plus it has an EXCELLENT camera, better than most 1.3 megapixel handsets. Sound is loud and clear, bluetooth works flawlessly. Check it out. Good looking phone that people will talk about. Its happened to me. 🤣 🤣 🤣

I've been reading mexied reviews about the T-509 but I won't find out unless I use it myself. What about the pther Samsung phone, the T-809 I think it is. It's a black slider phone. Is that one better or worse?? Thanks for your help guys. I really appreciate it. 😁

The T-809 has a better feature set like 1.3 MP camera, music player, bigger screen, but it has its flaws too. The price is 4 times the price of the 509. Go look at them and make an informed and emotional decision. I say no to Motorola (for now). The 509 is truely a great phone but gets a bad rap as the imititator. Voice clarity and volume have never been one of Samsungs strong suits, but here it is improved. As for the 809, I am so-so on sliders, seem fragile, slide always gets loose, easy to scratch screen. The 509 screen is gorgeous. Go see. 😁

I think the Moto V360 is the best Moto ever made. No megapixel camera but I hardly ever use cameras on a cell phone anyways but I loved the MP3 player. I recently upgraded to the MDA. I've had perfect experiences with both phones. MDA has everything you could ever want.

I just looked at it. The MDA looks like a winner because I have to get a PDA anyway. One question. Does it have Wi-Fi and IR signaling b/c I need both those features for my classes. Thanks.

I've always had good reception with Motorola's. I'm using the A630 now and have had my eye on the PEBL. Nokia's are good but I've never liked the ear pieces. I haven't had much use of the Samsungs (don't like their phones) and LG has to be the worst phone I've ever used.

Thanks for the info bro. I'ma get the MDA though because it kills 2 birds with one stone. I need a PDA for school and it will suite me. Thanks for the info again.
