Which phone the TMobile sells in their prepaid kits has the best reception and sound quality? I am only looking to get prepaid service and TMobile has the best offer right now. Thanks in advance for your help.

Nokia 6010 is a basic "low end" phone that has excellent RF. The 6010 has more features on it than "premium" phones did only a few years ago. If you're not looking for fancy the 6010 will do well for you. Excellent RF characteristics.

What about the Nokia 6101? I have a gift card to Target where I would only have to add $30 to get that phone. Is the reception and sound quality on that one just as good? A really don't care about the other features, but I prefer a flip phone. Thanks in advance for any help received.

Reception wise it's just as good as the 6010. It has an FM radio installed so it gets better reception than most phones.

Thanks for the advice. I plan to pick one up later on today. Are you able to download ringtones with TMobile's prepaid service?

Yup. Your mins also have a monetary value as well. So when you download something it takes mins away. Just be careful not to download too much or you'll loose all your mins. Also throw out the money for the $100 card up front. You get instant gold rewards status (more mins when you buy)and your mins don't expire for a full year.
