How much negotiating power do you have when purchasing a Phone (8801) and BRAND NEW Rate plan?

I have been reading through this forum and Howard Forums and I saw that some current customers are able to negotiate the Nokia 8801 at the price of/or around $450.

I currently have a t-mo blackberry data plan, and would like to get a seperate voice plan (so I dont have to switch sims out)

I ONLY want a 1 YEAR contract, is there anything I can do to get a discount off the 8801 and stil sign up for a 1 year contract?

Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Best time to try and get a deal is at the end of the month. Thats when we need to make quota so we'll so alot! well...depending on the store. I wouldn't bet on getting to much of a deal on such a high end phone.

You will get a better deal with a two year contract... there is no price negotiation options online or via over the phone sales. you might be able to work out a deal at a store, but that would be up to the dealer. Its being offered for $549.99 with a two year contract for new activations and full discount upgrade right now (online and over the phone).
